[AI Prompt] Use ChatGPT to suggest internal linking structure

Web crawlers have 1 primary method of navigation, links.

Internal linking is one of the main ways that web crawlers for Google/Bing and the like, learn about other content on your website.

It’s also a main source of navigation for your (more important human) readers.

Internal links contain SEO value such as connecting like pieces of content into a theme.

They also contain reader value allowing users to learn more about your brand, product or service, without having to hunt through hundreds (thousands?) of blog posts.

If you’re new to internal linking, or have an environment that could use a slight overhaul – here’s how you can use ChatGPT to suggest a first draft of an internal linking structure.

AI inputs needed

  1. [EXPLAIN THE COMPANY/WEBSITE] – An overview of your company, product or website will help ChatGPT understand the topics it should be linking together. This should be relatively detailed and verbose, or at least as detailed as needed based on the complexity of your product or service.
  2. [PASTE ALL BLOG URLS HERE] – A simple list of all blogs you want eligible for internal linking. Easiest way to grab this list is with a crawler like Screamingfrog or something similar.

The prompt

[EXPLAIN THE COMPANY/WEBSITE]

I want to add internal links to all of their blogs.
