Sonatype was looking to launch their website on HubSpot CMS with a very elaborate design. Each page had a distinct look and feel, which meant we would need to balance design flexibility with the user-friendliness within the CMS. The site was also heavy with images, animations and third-party scripts — so we needed to balance style with speed. They also required many dynamic content feeds on the site, which pulled content remotely from HubSpot’s database tool, HubDB.
We developed a custom HubSpot CMS theme with 22 unique modules, each with their own style variations. This enabled the Sonatype team to intuitively add content to the site however they wanted to, while enabling the bespoke nature of the website design to function beautifully. The website was also designed and launched in a phased approach to support Sonatype’s marketing efforts while building towards the long term vision for the site.
